Green Apple Pear Jell-O Shots

Get the Luck of the Irish with St. Patrick’s Day Green Apple Pear Jell-O Shots

Green is one of my favorite colors. With St. Patrick’s Day upon us, I thought there would be nothing better to celebrate it with than by making something green to eat. Since St. Patrick’s Day is such a fun holiday, one that encourages alcoholic beverages, I thought Jell-O shots would be perfect.

I decided to make green apple and pear Jell-O shots topped with green apple Pop Rocks. Oh, all that popping on top of the smooth taste of Jell-O! It’s such great fun for a taste and texture sensation that really keeps the party going.

I created this party-perfect recipe using Green Apple Kool Aid, Pear Nectar, and apple vodka. So, gather the squad for some good times this St. Patrick’s Day. It’s really going to pop!

Green Apple Pear Jell – O Shots

Ingredients
1 cup of Green Apple Kool Aid
2 packs of unflavored gelatin
3/4 cup of pear nectar
1/2 cup apple vodka
Green Apple Pop Rocks

Directions

1. Pour Green Apple Kool Aid into a saucepan and sprinkle with gelatin.  Allow to soak for a few minutes.
2. Heat on low, stirring constantly, until gelatin is fully dissolved (about 5 minutes).  Remove from heat.
3. Stir in the pear nectar  and apple vodka making sure to fully incorporate.
4. Pour into pan or little shot glasses, and chill until set, several hours or overnight.
(I put mine in a silicone mold)

To serve, cut into shapes (or unmold).  Garnish with lime zest if desired.
Makes 18 to 24 shots.

FYI
To unmold the Jell-O from the Silicone Mold simply fill the sink with a few inches of hot water.  Place the bottom of the silicone tray in the water for about 20 seconds.  **Do Not completely submerge the tray.  Turn the silicone tray upside down over a plate and the Jell-O will come out.
