Amaretto White Chocolate Milkshake

Every once in a while Jeremy and I have a taste for a milkshake. About two weeks ago I met him for lunch and we went to Shake Shack. A little fun fact, when we moved to Charlotte, I thought about all the food places I liked to go to, and I was like dang there is no Shake Shack. I was bummed that I was going to miss out on those delicious milkshakes, and burgers. So I went out driving around one day, and there it was. I spotted Shake Shack, and you won’t believe where it was… Right by Jeremy’s job. I called him up like why didn’t you tell me about the Shake Shack, you knew I was upset that they didn’t have a Shake Shack here, he told me he forgot to tell me 🙄🙄. Well anyway Shake Shack had opened up about 2 months before we moved to Charlotte. So needless to say every once in a while we head to Shake Shack to get my milkshake fix.

However this time we did not, I made milkshakes at home.  I made the milkshakes with some left over Amaretto White Hot Chocolate. We had a cold night and I made the Amaretto White Hot Chocolate, and the next day we had a warm day.  I knew we weren’t going to have that hot chocolate again the next day since it was so warm.  Another fun fact, I keep my freezer stocked with Vanilla Haagen Dazs 😋😋. So I decided to make a milkshake using the vanilla ice cream and the Amaretto White Hot Chocolate.

In order to make this milk shake you do not have to make the Amaretto White Hot Chocolate first. To make this milkshake you would melt the white chocolate in the microwave with some milk. When the chocolate has melted, add it to the blender, with half and half, almond extract, nutmeg, amaretto liquor and your favorite vanilla ice cream.  Blend until smooth and divide among 4 milkshake cups.
